Our reunion Chairman, Harvey Sellers, has provided some details about the next Scamp reunion, planned for April 2027. The committee is working through the Little Rock, Arkansas, Convention/Visitors Bureau with the help of Sharon Danitschek (Military Reunion Network). We have the Four Points Inn hotel secured for our reunion.
Reunion Activities
We are planning out reunion week activities. One planned event is to visit the USS Razorback (SS-394) – Balao-class submarine museum.
We are planning on having the traditional welcome aboard pizza party, a dinner to honor our Shipmate who have passed, a dinner to honor our past Commanding officers and a dinner/business meeting on Thursday of that week. Also, I would like to have breakfast on Friday morning to honor our Plank Owners and Decom Crew.
Registration
Registration for the event will be $70.00 per person, and the prices provided for events will include transportation to and from events.
Feedback Welcomed
Since it is very early in our planning please responded with any ideas you have about places to visit, when we should hold the reunion, and any other ideas you have. We will also be having a silent auction so check your attics, basements, and garages for anything SCAMP that can be used as an auction item or any item you think will help to raise money. In the past we have had blankets, stained glass, cribbage boards, and decanter sets donated.
